Welcome to the Special Effects Nursery website We have been operating out of our Colac nursery since December 2005 prior to that we had run the nursery from our farm at Lavers Hill where we began with propagating ferns and local trees in 1975. Special Effects Nursery has evolved from 35 years experience of nursery, commercial revegetation and plantation experience.
	Special Effects is a wholesale, special purpose nursery producing quality plants in a number of product lines; Landscape, Specialty Timber, Revegetation , Native food plants and Shelter belts for landholders. Within the landscape lines we specialize in Banksias, Coastal landscapes, grass trees (Xanthorrhoea australis) and grasses.
	Special Effects supplies the nursery, the landscape trade and bulk buyers of revegetation and farm shelter trees, producing around 200,000 seedlings per year in 150 species. Many landscape lines are available in 10cm or 14cm pots Apart from our specialist Banksia lines many are indigenous to the Otways
